  • Military Service Center (MSC) - Augusta Campus

Augusta Technical College’s Military Success Center is a space created specifically for military-affiliated students. Located in building 1300 room 245, it began as a grant from the Augusta Warrior Project and is still supported in many ways by AWP.  Stop by the center for resources to help you succeed in college; veteran-to-veteran support; a quiet space to study, rest between classes, or have lunch as well as computer access.

The Military Lending Library provides very limited assistance to students who have exhausted all financial assistance including the HOPE Grant and the Pell Grant and need assistance acquiring books for class. Books are loaned on a first-come, first-serve basis. The applications are available a month before the semester begins and information can be found in the MSC. The MLL also takes used textbook donations.

Academic support services are provided to Augusta Tech students by the staff of the Success Center on the Augusta, Thomson, and Waynesboro campuses, and at the Grovetown Center.  The free services include tutoring, help with Learning Support and credit classes in English, Math, Reading, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering Technology, and Introduction to Computers (COMP 1000), as well as help with writing assignments for any course.  ACCUPLACER® placement test preparation is available for applicants.  Assistance in getting started with the Blackboard system for online and hybrid classes, and in improving general academic skills is also available.
